Privacy, plainly.

1. Zero Tracking

Steam & Spades is an offline, single-player card game. We do not operate player accounts, remote game-save servers, advertising integrations, or gameplay analytics. The app does not automatically send your profile, play history, device identifiers, or diagnostic reports to Compound Logic.

There are no embedded third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and no cross-app tracking. This does not mean that no information is ever processed: Apple handles purchases, website hosting processes requests, and we receive information you choose to email to support, as explained below.

2. Local saves and backups

Your player profile, coin balance, match records, stage progression, campaign completion, and purchase-delivery records are stored in the app’s local SwiftData/SQLite database. Audio, caption, and gameplay preferences are saved locally.

The app relies on the iOS app sandbox and standard iOS Data Protection. Protection depends on your device and security settings; Compound Logic does not implement a separate app-level encryption system.

Operating-System Backups: Depending on your settings, local saves may be included in Apple iCloud or computer backups. Computer-backup encryption depends on the backup options you choose. Compound Logic does not access your backups or provide an independent cloud-sync or recovery service.

3. Apple-managed purchases

Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit 2. The app verifies transactions on-device and records delivery locally. Compound Logic does not receive your payment-card number or payment credentials.

The permanent Sovereign Pass can be restored through Apple using the account associated with its purchase, subject to its current entitlement status. Consumable coin packages are delivered to the local balance and cannot be restored through the app’s Restore Purchases action. Restoring the pass does not grant its coin bonus again.

Apple’s handling of purchase and account information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

4. Photo access, voices, and device timing

When you choose Save as Wallpaper, the app requests add-only Photos permission (.addOnly) to save the selected artwork. It does not request permission to browse your existing photo library or upload your photographs.

Character recordings, music, artwork, and campaign videos are bundled with the app. Missing dialogue recordings may use Apple system speech synthesis (AVSpeechSynthesizer) as a fallback. The app does not record your microphone or send dialogue to a publisher-operated voice service.

Local preferences and elapsed-time information support settings, dialogue cooldowns, and playback timing. This timing information is not sent to Compound Logic.

5. Information you choose to send to support

If you email compoundlogicnc@gmail.com, Compound Logic receives your email address, message, and anything you choose to include. The app can prepare a diagnostic template containing its version and build, iOS version, device model, timestamp, and relevant error details.

Opening the email template does not automatically send it. Review or remove details before sending. Never include passwords, payment-card information, or unrelated personal files. Your email provider and our email provider also process correspondence for delivery and storage.

We use correspondence to answer requests, investigate problems, and help with purchases or privacy inquiries. We do not use support messages for advertising or cross-app tracking. We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes and any applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact us to request deletion; some records may need to be retained to resolve an issue or meet legal obligations.

6. This website

These pages do not embed analytics scripts, advertising, external font services, or contact forms. Contact links open your chosen email application.

Our hosting infrastructure may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser details, requested page, and request time, to deliver and secure the website. This is separate from the local gameplay data in the app.

Links to Apple or other external services are governed by those services’ own policies.

7. Your choices and contacting us

You can adjust preferences in Settings, decline Photos permission, and play without contacting support or making purchases. Support correspondence is optional.

Compound Logic cannot access or individually delete gameplay records that remain only on your device. Be aware that deleting app data also deletes local coins and progression. Manage operating-system backups through your device or computer settings.
